Embedded Software & Electrical Engineer (EV Systems)
Job Type: Full-Time
CTC: ₹8 to ₹12 LPA
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test embedded software for EV control systems, including motor controllers, BMS, and power electronics.
- Implement and debug firmware primarily written in C for microcontrollers and automotive ECUs.
- Interpret and generate wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and electrical schematics for low and high-voltage systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, systems, test, and manufacturing) to ensure integrated system performance and reliability.
- Interface with CAN, LIN, and other automotive communication protocols for diagnostics and control.
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause troubleshooting in both software and hardware systems.
- Support functional safety, EMI/EMC compliance, and regulatory testing as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of software, electrical schematics, and system configuration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in automotive or EV applications.
- Proficient in C language, with a solid understanding of embedded software architectures and real-time systems.
- Working knowledge of EV architecture, including battery management systems (BMS), motor controllers, and power distribution units.
- Experience reading and creating automotive wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and schematics.
- Familiarity with tools such as Vector CANalyzer/CANoe, oscilloscopes, multimeters, Altium, or similar CAD tools.
- Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) is a plus.
- Experience with low-level driver development and hardware-software integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in
a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Experience with RTOS, FreeRTOS, or similar real-time operating systems.
- Exposure to Simulink, model-based design, or auto-code generation is a bonus.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostic protocols (UDS, OBD-II).
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment and prototype testing.
- Ability to travel to manufacturing or test sites if required.
